Dear Friends and Supporters of Bohem,

With Christmas approaching, I would like to announce a few news items.

TAPROOM

New beer tasting

It is six months since we introduced our most recent brew – Jan Amos. This is quite a long time for a craft brewery, however, following the major summer brewery refurbishment settling down, we have a Christmas present for you. It is obviously another lager but this one is much more unusual than anything we’ve produced before. At 7.4% it is our strongest beer so far. Its name is Vasco (who else could do its art than our great Andrea Aste) and it is a Double Indian Pale Lager (DIPL). IPA lovers can be finally satisfied as we now have our very special Bohemian alternative. Bohem Vasco will be introduced on Tuesday 28th November at our Bohem Taproom, 120a Myddleton Road, London, N22 8NQ. There is a private tasting for BFF members (sign up here) – between 5pm and 7pm and public tasting starts at 7pm. We are looking forward to seeing lots of you there.

Christmas parties

Our Taproom is now available to hire for companies/private Christmas parties on working days. The capacity of the venue is up to 18 people seated. As well as our beers and great Moravian Wines we also offer other alcoholic drinks on demand as well as refreshments of pre-ordered hot food. The music selection is your choice and with our record player, you can bring your old vinyls to create the right atmosphere for your event. Advanced booking on 07999014294 or ask.us@bohembrewery.com is essential so we can let our regulars know that we will be closing the venue. Events require a minimum of 10 people and are free of charge.

Wine tasting

Alongside importer of Czech wines, Vinovitaj Ltd, we are hosting a Wine Tasting. We will be offering a selection of 12 different varieties of Moravian wines (8 whites, 4 reds). In the cost of the ticket (£25) is a wide selection of snacks and refreshments. It takes place on Sunday 17th December between 2pm and 4pm. Tickets are for sale at the bar and the event is limited to 30 people.

Live Music

As many of you know we have a duo called Swing Boheme who perform at the Taproom every Wednesday night showcasing their great gipsy jazz. You can learn more about them on http://swingboheme.com/. Come and listen to their music with us.

BREWERY OF THE MONTH, MEET THE BREWER, TAP TAKE OVER

There is a great pub by Arnos Grove Tube station called Arnos Arms. Bohem Brewery is featured as Brewery of the month. We have an event Meet The Brewer organised to take place there on Tuesday 5th December at 7pm. You are all welcome to join us and learn more about our brewery, beers, as well as our vision for the future. You will be able to enjoy all our brews on tap on the night and the following month the beers will be rotating on 3 taps. The best sellers will be kept on tap permanently for the next year. So keep an eye on everything happening at Arnos Arms, 338 Bowes Road, Arnos Grove, London, N11 1AN.

OUR FIRST COLLABORATION

Based on the high interest and exceptional sales of our Victoria at the Great Northern Railway Tavern (GNRT) in Hornsey we have agreed with its management to create a special beer for the customers that will not be available anywhere else. It is a session IPL and we have only just brewed it but that is all I can tell you for now. To find out more about this GNRT Christmas present follow ours and the GNRT social media channels.

MYDDLETON ROAD WINTER FESTIVAL

You can find our stall on this amazing local fest again this year. Like last year we will be serving Bohem draught and a hot surprise. The Taproom is also open – from 12am.

Let me wish you all a peaceful and stress-free time preparing for Christmas. And if the stress does become too much then I recommend taking some Bohem beer.
